Peter Engelmann
Peter Engelmann is a producer, writer-, film-maker and sole founder of Endurance Entertainment GmbH. He started his career with doing Super-8 shorts, was a trainee at Bavarian Television and developed feature films for Sony Pictures and Kirch Group. Following the idea “Entertainment inspired by science” Peter Engelmann develops feature film projects, television projects and digital content sometimes with a background in science. He wrote and creatively produced “Entscheidung in den Wolken” a German-Austrian Coproduction, for which he got script support by the Bavarian Film and Television Fund (FFF) and got nominated for the German Screenwriting Award. “Flight Director”, one of the projects in Endurance Entertainment GmbH’s current slot originated from the MINTiFF screenwriter’s competition for projects with a scientific background.
STORMYPICTURES is one of the latest undertakings in Engelmann’s and Endurance Entertainment’s efforts in digital production and transmedia projects like TheForestDark.Com Project. The weblog’s purpose is to provide coverage about dramatic weather events, adventures in nature, research in atmospheric science as other disciplines and both entertain and give the audience interesting insights. The format is still in development and will be continuously improved.
Peter Engelmann ist Produzent, Drehbuchautor und Filmschaffender sowie Alleingründer der Endurance Entertainment GmbH. Er begann seine Karriere mit Super-8 Kurzfilmen und einer Hospitanz sowie freier Mitarbeit beim Bayerischen Fernsehen. Für Sony Pictures und die Kirch Gruppe entwickelte er Kinofilme. Dem Motto “Entertainment inspired by science” folgend verfolgt Engelmann heute Kinofilmprojekte, TV-Projekte und digitale Projekte unter anderem mit einem wissenschaftlichen Hintergrund. Als Drehbuchautor und kreativer Produzent ist er verantwortlich für die deutsch-österreichische Koproduktion “Entscheidung in den Wolken”, wofür er auch Drehbuchförderung vom FFF Bayern erhielt und auch für den deutschen Drehbuchpreis nominiert war.
STORMYPICTURES LIVE ist eine der jüngsten Unternehmungen der Endurance Entertainment GmbH und Peter Engelmann im Rahmen ihrer Anstrengungen mit digitalen Projekten und Transmedia-Projekten, wie zum Beispiel dem TheForestDark.com Project. Die Zielsetzung des weblogs besteht darin, spannende Reportagen zu dramatischen Wetterereignissen, Abenteuern in der Natur, aber auch zu Recherchen zu Themen wie Physik der Atomsphäre und anderen Disziplinenen herzustellen, die das Publikum sowohl unterhalten wie auch informieren. Das Format befindet sich in der Entwicklung und wird kontinuierlich verbessert.
